The Surface 3 is the cheaper alternative to Surface Pro 4, but one of the best alternatives for it is actually the Transformer Mini T102HA by Asus.

The hybrid tablet has a 10.1-inch display, a metal body and a fingerprint scanner on the back.  It comes in four color variants: Quartz Gray, Amber, Mint Green and Icicle Gold. Asus offers a free pen and detachable keyboard with the magnesium-aluminum alloy and measures 8.2mm thin (13.9mm with the keyboard cover) and it weighs 530 grams (270 grams heavier with the keyboard cover).

The device uses a Smart Hinge design and supports a kickstand with 170° of movement, so you can adjust the display to the angle that allows you to view content perfectly no matter if you’re working, playing, putting it on a desk or on a lap. Enjoy listening to music without headphones thanks to the dual side-mounted stereo speakers delivering an immersive surround-sound effect. Images and videos are sharp and realistic on the 10.1-inch HD screen thanks to the ASUS Tru2Life video enhancement and TruVivid direct-bonding technology.

Asus equipped its hybrid tablet with an Intel Cherry Trail Quad-Core Processor backed by integrated Intel HD Graphics and 4GB SDRAM. Currently, the model is available with 128GB internal storage and is sold for $399. However, in the near future, Asus will release a 64GB version for fans who want to pay less money than the Transformer Mini T102HA.

The rest of its specs include a 2MP web camera, a fingerprint reader with support for Windows Hello, 802.11 AC Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and one port for USB 3.0, micro-USB, micro-HDMI and MicroSD. The battery is expected to provide up to 11 hours of movie playback.
