Microsoft’s Surface series was a success and forced the competition to rethink its product strategy and bring new devices to the market, especially after the launch of the Surface Laptop, a more traditional laptop that does away with a 2-in-1 approach and instead comes with Windows 10 S and the potential for Windows 10 Pro. Asus accepted the challenge and recently introduced the Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe.

The ZenBook 3 Deluxe features

The device is a rival for the Microsoft Surface Laptop and an alternative to the Apple MacBook. It includes amazing specs such as Intel Core i7 processors which are also included on Microsoft’s devices. The ZenBook can be equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and hold a 1TB SSD.

It also includes a USB Type-C port that offers support for a wide array of external hardware from monitors to storage. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe houses a 14-inch NanoEdge ultra-narrow-bezel display in its chassis while its 13-inch form factor scores extra points for portability.

Since it runs Windows 10, the ZenBook 3 Deluxe includes hardware to make the most of the OS such as a fingerprint scanner that can be configured with Windows Hello for quick authentication.

The ZenBook 3 Deluxe is lighter than Microsoft’s Surface Laptop at 1.1 kg. The most affordable configuration costs S1,299, but the pricing is increased for higher specs and more potent hardware.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop starts from $999, but the top-of-the-line configuration goes for around $2,199 when it’s equipped with the most powerful i7 processor, 16GB, and 512GB of storage.
