Most players are against anti-hacking and anti-cheat game tools, such as Denuvo and BattlEye. They suggest that these services only limit the gaming experience, causing various issues. On the other hand, game developers rightfully try to block hackers from copying and illegally distributing their creations or using various cheats.

While the debate about Denuvo is unlikely to end anytime soon, chances are players may view BattlEye differently after reading this article:

I was going to get this game until I found out you chose Battleye as your anti cheat software. The worst choice possible. Theres no way im letting that process hungry, privacy invasive POS anywhere near my system

BattlEye game anti-cheat tool

BattlEye is an anti-cheat service whose role is to scan an OS for hacks. If it finds any, it immediately blocks or bans gamers altogether. You can always disable the BattlEye filter, but then you won’t be able to join servers where “BattlEye Required” is required.

If you permanently decline BattlEye installation by clicking “Do not ask me again”, when connecting to a BattlEye -enabled server, you’ll get kicked with a request to restart the game. To fix this, go to the BattlEye folder in your game directory and double-click the Install_BattlEye.bat file.

If you use common software programs while playing your favorite game, BattlEye won’t ban you. The tool fully supports non-cheat overlays and visual enhancement tools like SweetFX.

BattlEye installs only on Windows as a system service. The tool is active only when you are playing a BattlEye-protected game with BattlEye enabled. If you want to uninstall it, go to the BattlEye folder and locate the “Uninstall_BattlEye.bat” file. Then simply run it to completely uninstall BattlEye.
