Conan Exiles is a challenging survival game that takes you back to the brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian. The game has received mixed reviews on Steam, mainly due to various technical and quality issues.

In order to provide the best possible gaming experience to fans, Funcom has decided to end the collaboration with its official partner and is now looking for a new host.

The fact that Conan Exiles devs are changing the game’s servers has a minimum impact on the game’s availability and players’ progress. Meanwhile, you can play Conan Exiles on any of the thousands of unofficial servers that are out there.

Conan Exiles will get new servers

Funcom explains that Conan Exiles’ initial popularity is more than they anticipated. Due to the overwhelming demand for servers, Funcom’s official partner has been unable to deliver the level of quality and service required. As a result, devs decided to shut down the 200 official servers hosted by PingPerfect and are now looking for a new partner.

We are in the process of finding new partners with the ideal hardware we can move the existing game databases to. However, due to the high demand for Conan Exiles servers, many hosting companies are simply out of the hardware that we need and as such this process might take a few days.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who has played and made progress on the official servers, but we think it is better to deal with this problem now rather than later.

At the same time, Funcom had to remove the 25% Lifetime Discount offer from the Barbarian Edition. Players who already purchased the Barbarian Edition will eventually have their discount honored. The only problem is that the discount won’t be included in future purchases. The provider is currently out of stock, but it should have new servers up and running soon.

Funcom is also keeping the game databases, including characters, buildings and progression from the old servers and will re-implement them when the new servers are available.
