The Windows 10 Creators Update is finally here. After all this wait, the new OS is finally in the hands of eager consumers and gamers. Microsoft promised this OS would bring a bevy of gaming improvements. After not showing much interest in gaming with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 , Microsoft pulled a 180 and put an emphasis on gaming wth Windows 10.

The Creators Update ups the ante in this category and includes many improvements for gamers. As a matter of fact, players have already confirmed a 4% increases in FPS after installing the update.

Unfortunately, not everyone is pleased with the results after installing the Creators Update. This is because the update also brings unwanted changes, like how it automatically turns on the Xbox Game DVR feature.

Many gamers have a problem with this feature because it completely messes up their setup and the way their systems operate. With this huge impediment on performance, many players decided to turn off Game DVR. Fortunately, this simple action fixes the majority of game issues triggered by the Creators Update.

Many users have expressed their complaints regarding the Game DVR feature and how it negatively affects game performance. Here is what one gamer said on Reddit:

I even disabled dvr and game mode and my steam games still told me that my xbox dvr was still on. Can’t even get game mode running without activating the xbox dvr sh**. Can’t access the old system settings anymore. I’m done with this update. Went back to the old built after 15 minutes

To disable the Xbox DVR feature, simply navigate to Start > Settings > Gaming > Game DVR > turn off Game DVR
