Gears of War 4 Crossplay Test results bring the feature closer to implementation

Gears of War 4 is a great third-person shooter game for the Xbox One and Windows PC. Since the very first day this title was released, fans requested The Coalition and Microsoft to implement crossplay between Windows PCs and Xbox One consoles.

As we already reported, the crossplay feature debate divided gamers into two camps. Taking into account the huge pressure to implement this feature, The Coalition recently held a GOW4 Crossplay Test Weekend from December 2 to December 5.

Judging by  feedback from gamers, it’s safe to say that the test was a success. Fans also suggest that the Coalition should continue to hold events like the recent crossplay test weekend every now and then, adding experience or credit incentives to convince more Xbox players to participate.

Gears of War 4 crossplay feature is coming

Sad to see the event conclude. It was a great time this weekend and being able to play with my Xbox friends was a treat.
The people arguing against keeping crossplay are narrow minded and ill informed. There is no reason at all to not have a permanent crossplay list in the social area.

It is worth mentioning that GOW 4 fans noticed that PC players weren’t top of the leader boards during the crossplay test. This is a very good observation because many Xbox One players are reluctant to play against PC gamers. They believe that it’s an unfair advantage to be on a PC and use a keyboard and mouse combo. However, the data offered by this GOW 4 crossplay test should prove them otherwise.

For various PC problems, we recommend to use this tool.

This tool will repair most computer errors, protect you from file loss, malware, hardware failure and optimize your PC for maximum performance. Quickly fix PC issues and prevent others from happening with this software:

  1. Download ReimagePlus (100% safe download and endorsed by us).

The Coalition should soon release a report regarding the results of the GOW 4 crossplay test. There are still many variables to take into consideration when it comes to implementing this feature. Some fans suggest that a separate playlist for crossplay or allowing Xbox users to disable crossplay would be ideal.

Whoever wrote this must have never played a PC shooter (especially gears) before or a desperate PC beggar spreading misinformation because they couldn’t find games on PC. Let’s dissect this hot garbage of an article at the fundamental levels.

“It is worth mentioning that GOW 4 fans noticed that PC players weren’t top of the leader boards during the crossplay test.”

GOW 4 fans? EVERY “GOW 4 fan” you speak of in this article who has “noticed” this, magically plays on PC. Co-incidence? Yep, to you of course. PC players WANT crossplay and will go to ANY lengths to justify them to be included among the Xbox player pool, even with desperate lies.

“This is a very good observation because many Xbox One players are reluctant to play against PC gamers. They believe that it’s an unfair advantage to be on a PC and use a keyboard and mouse combo.”

“Very good observation”, my foot. Of course, the Xbox One players are reluctant to play against keyboard and mouse players and with superior hardware overall. The advantage is HARDWARE, NOT players. The PC muppets wouldn’t survive a day and go back to the cave where they came from if they were playing only on Xbox. Gears is a console shooter, and NOT PC. They are reluctant not only because of keyboard and mouse which is INSANELY better for aiming AND MOVEMENT, better hardware on PC to let the game be played on arbitrary resolutions and framerate. And don’t even try to argue that the Xbox 360 controller is better for movement. You will look like a clown for saying that and pushing your agenda like you do on the forums. The keyboard has a bigger advantage in movement, than even what the mouse has when it comes to precision weapons like the longshot, embar, markza, snub and boltok. It’s because of it being coupled with the mouse for some insanely fast turns of the camera angles for bouncing that CANNOT be matched even by the top professional players on Xbox, even with it’s omni-directional rolls.

“However, the data offered by this GOW 4 crossplay test should prove them otherwise.”

So, you came to the conclusion that crossplay doesn’t put Xbox players at a disadvantage, without even “the data” you claim to be the holy grail from Coalition, to back your egregious article up? You’re worthy of being called a modern “game journalist”.

Gears is a console shooter and that’s where the importance of the fanbase is to the developer, not for 200 snowflakes playing on the PC and begging for crossplay with Xbox. If you feel the gears population is dying on the PC, ask the pc players to BUY THE GAME. Xbox players DON’T OWE YOU ANYTHING. Stop being selfish, entitled snowflakes and breaking the game’s balance on Xbox with pc’s hardware advantage, just so that you could get to play the game with human players.

i am on pc and actually prefer the controller since i came from xbox. i say they need to make a setting that would lock PC people to a controller. the PC player base is horrible iv had the game almost a month and have yet to get into a ranked match. i believe locking ppl to a controller is the only way to make everyone happy. ANY thoughts?
