HP is in the process of upgrading its flagship gaming desktop, the Omen, with new specification and configuration options targeted at gamers.

The Omen Desktop features

The Omen Desktop features the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU along with 8GB DDR4 RAM. In case you’re thirsty for more power, you can get the most potent version which packs dual GPUs. You also have two more options to choose from: the NVIDIAGTX 1080 Ti or the Radeon GX 580 from AMD. The Omen Desktop is priced at $899.

The company offers its users a few options when it comes to different models of the Omen Desktop. Alongside the GPU, gamers will also be able to get AMD’s Ryzen processors instead of traditional Intel ones, with the Ryzen 7 1800X available with the most powerful variant of the Omen Desktop. You can also choose the Intel Core i7-7700K if you like. Regarding RAM, you only get 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but you will be able to upgrade that number easily.

The I/O of the Omen Desktop is really packed as it features 6 OSB 3.0 Type-A ports, 2 USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and 2 USB Type-C ports.

According to the vice president and general manager of consumer personal systems at HP Inc. Kevin Frost:

Gamers and sports athletes want the coolest, most innovative and powerful products on the market with the designs they crave. With our reinvention of the entire OMEN portfolio – from design, form-factor, engineering, and performance – we are helping them compete at the highest level.
