Windows 8 app System Essentials that lets you receive information about the hardware and software configuration of your devices has been updated to get Windows 8.1 support

Recently, more and more apps have been getting support for Windows 8.1, one of the most important and the latest being HealthVault, CCleaner, 3D Mark, ZoneAlarm, Yahoo! Mail and many others. According to Bogdan Popa from Softpedia, System Essentials’ Windows 8 app has been updated to get better and full Windows 8.1 support.

The updated Widnows 8 System Essentials app update notes say the following:

  • Added the ability to connect to the FTP
  • Added ability to generate QR
  • Redesigned interface applications
  • The optimization of the code

You can use System Essentials on your Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 device to monitor network connections, connect to FTP servers, check Microsoft account details and it even comes with some personalization options for Windows 8.1. The app also comes with a Smart Card Manager and a Barcode Scanner, as well as the ability to to send and receive SMS messages on your Windows 8/8.1 system.
