This website, like many out there, is based on the WordPress free blogging backbone and many are probably looking to be able to create content from their Windows 8 tablets with the use of the self-hosted WordPress app, which is WordPress.org. That kind of app is still absent in the Windows Store as Automattic has released only the app for WordPress.com users

The best Windows 8 blogging app

So, by using the official WordPress.com Windows 8 app you will be able to create new posts and publish them to your WordPress.com blog very fast. Of course, you will need to have an account first of all. If you don’t have one, you will be able to create one from the app which will take you to a dedicated web page where you will complete the creation of your first blog. Then, you will be able to share photos, links, and quotes from any Windows 8 app on your WordPress.com blog.

Besides managing your own WordPress.com blog, you will also have the option of seeing the content from other blogs that you follow, and you will even be able to reblog the content that you find and share it with your readers. After using the app for a while, I’ve seen that it is fast and well-designed, however, I couldn’t help but notice the low rating that it has.

I went to the Windows Store and started looking through the reviews and realized that many of the problems were caused by the fact that there were many bugs caused by crashes and various other bugs. However, the release notes contains a changelog which points to some bug fixes and general improvements. So, go ahead and download the app and see how it works this time. I, for one, was very pleased with it.
