The official Yahoo Mail app has been relaunched on the Windows Store this past fall (after being removed) and since then it’s been continuously updated.

We’ve seen the app receive an update at the end of last month and now, another dose of new features have been made available. According to its changelog, the app is now able to sync contacts between Yahoo and Microsoft People. Here are all the features of the app:

Get real-time notifications so you never miss a message.
View the Live Tile in the Start menu for a quick status on your inbox.
See the number of new messages on your lock screen.
Organize your mail with folders, Smart Views, and various options to sort your message list.
Import contacts from Facebook, Gmail, Outlook or AOL to make it easy to connect to the people you care about.
Multitask in your inbox with Tabs: compose, search and read messages all at once, without opening new windows.
Send beautiful emails with Yahoo Mail Stationery, designed by Paperless Post.
Find the message, document or photo you’re looking for with Yahoo Mail’s best in class search feature.
Personalize your inbox with over 20+ vibrant themes to choose from.
Automatically sync contacts between Yahoo Mail and Microsoft People

In our experience, when we checked the contacts widget, Outlook was still the only option (Check out the above screenshot). It’s possible it will take some time before the app’s UI will reflect the change. We’ve reached out for further clarification on this and will update you once we have more details.

If you’re looking for other reliable email client apps to use on Windows 10, we’ve compiled a list of 10 that you should try.
