Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will enter the first beta stage soon. You can still sign up in case you haven’t done it by now. As an Insider, you will get the chance of being considered for selection in the early tests of the game.

The Age of Empires team told fans on Twitter that the game should reach beta by the end of the week, inviting all the gamers to sign up.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition for RTS fans

Age of Empires is a classic franchise that was launched 20 years ago. This has been a hallmark of Windows gaming for a while now, so Real Time Strategy (RTS) fans who are longing for a fresh challenge will definitely be interested in the franchise’s latest entry. We’re talking about Age of Empires: Definitive Edition which is a full remaster of the root game.

The upcoming release will be just the first wave in a closed beta. In other words, this means that even if you sign up now, this will not guarantee you a spot in the beta stage. But if you don’t sign up, you will not have any chance of getting it, that’s for sure. So, if you’re curious, you should go for it.

Age of Empires seems to be a faithful remaster, so all fans of the franchise should check it out at least for the old times’ sake.

Join the closed beta

You can join the closed beta by going on the official website. To participate, you just need to sign up for the Age of Empires Insider program, and as an Insider, you will get an exclusive look at current progress in the Age of Empires franchise. You will also get the chance to contribute directly to the elaboration of the remaster by sharing feedback.
