Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered brings back one of the most critically-acclaimed games in history. This high-definition game version features enhanced textures, rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and more. Fans of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare should definitely try out this revamped version of the game.

If you haven’t purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered yet, you should also know that there are a series of known issues that might affect your gaming experience. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should abstain from buying this game just because you might be affected by these issues. The purpose of this article is to inform you about the bugs officially acknowledged by Activision and tell you where you can go to report other issues.

CoD: Modern Warfare Remastered bugs:

This list of official issues is available on Activision’s website and contains the bugs that have been identified or reported in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and are either under investigation or scheduled to be fixed. Follow this page to be notified when updates are made.

Issue Description Status
Players losing Campaign progress
– Steam
Steam players have corrupted saves in Campaign, losing progress.

Workaround: If you’ve experiencing an issue with your Campaign save becoming corrupted, open MISSION SELECT from the Campaign menu and choose and begin the last mission you were playing. This will restart you at the beginning of the mission, but your progress up to that point will be restored.

Under investigation
The game seems to be stuttering or rubber banding
– Windows 10 Store
Issue that affects screen loads, causing level transitions to stutter, hitch, or rubber band and audio to become delayed or unsynced. Stuttering has also been identified in online Multiplayer matches with the maximum allowed players. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in our first post-launch update scheduled next week.
General performance issues
– Windows 10 Store
Performance issues in the 40-50 fps range and some stuttering. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in our first post-launch update scheduled next week.
Long load times
– Windows 10, Steam
Long load times that can result in players getting dropped from matches. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in our first post-launch update scheduled next week.
Headphone audio lost
– Windows 10 Store
Plugging in headphones while in Campaign or Multiplayer disables the audio.

Workaround: If this happens, you will need to restart the game with the headphones plugged in to restore audio.

Infinite loading screen in Custom Match
– Steam
The host of a custom match will experience an indefinite loading screen when the match ends if they lose WAN connection during gameplay. Under investigation
Performance issues in Campaign
– Steam
Players might experience performance issues in 5 Campaign missions (Bog, Blackout, Shock and Awe, War Pig, and Safehouse) on PCs with AMD GPUs that meet minimum system requirements. Under investigation
Frame rate issues
– Steam
The “Optimal Video” settings result in frame rate issues despite hardware meeting minimum system requirements. Under investigation
SLI and Crossfire optimization
– Steam
The game is currently not optimizing power distribution with SLI or Crossfire. Under investigation
