Call of Duty App for Windows 8, 10 Gets Support for a New DLC Pack
Activision Publishing has only a single Windows 8 app released in the Windows Store and that is the official companion app for Call of Duty players. Back in December we talked about an important update that it had received and now it’s time to describe the latest one.
The official Call of Duty companion app for Windows 8 users won’t let you play the game per se, but rather experience some extra-game features, such as competing in Call of Duty Clan Wars where you will battle for territory, earn exclusive in-game bonuses; create or join a Call of Duty: Ghosts Clan and experience Call of Duty: Ghosts On the Go by staying up to date with the latest Call of Duty news and events. But if you already have it running on your Windows 8 device, you know what are its benefits.
Call of Duty for Windows 8 gets new features
To access the new Call of Duty® app, please create a free Call of Duty® account from the login page, or use a pre-existing Call of Duty® Elite account username/password. Your Call of Duty® account will need to be linked to an Xbox Live, PlayStation® Network or Steam profile that has played at least one multiplayer match in a supported Call of Duty®: Ghosts game
Besides an overall optimization and bug fixes, the official Call of Duty companion app for Windows 8 has been updated with support for the Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Pack, which has been made available first on Xbox LIVE on January 28th, and there will also be other platforms to follow in the future. So, if you have turned auto-updates, then you will have received the new update automatically, if not, follow the link from below to get it on your Windows 8 devices.
