Civilization VI is coming to Xbox One consoles in 4K, Digital pre-orders now open

A console version of the PC video game, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, is due for release on Xbox One on November 22nd and digital pre-orders for it are now open.

This Xbox One version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI includes all of the latest features from the PC version in addition to the Vikings, Poland, Australia, and Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Packs. The game will also play in 4K Ultra HD when played on an Xbox One X console and features support for online multiplayer with up to four players.

Originally created by legendary game designer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game in which you attempt to build an empire to stand the test of time. Explore a new land, research technology, conquer your enemies, and go head-to-head with history’s most renowned leaders as you attempt to build the greatest civilization the world has ever known. Civilization VI for Xbox One includes the latest game updates and improvements and four pieces of additional content which adds four new civilizations, leaders, and scenarios.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI first came out on Windows and Mac in 2016 and was followed by a Linux and iOS version in 2017 and a Nintendo Switch port in 2018. A PlayStation 4 version of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will also come out on the same day as the Xbox One version.

In 2016, it won the Best Strategy Game award at both the Game Critics Awards and The Game Awards.
