Diluvion is a game for those who dream about conquering the depths of the sea. It combines elements from a few genres, mainly RPG and exploration, to create the unique experience of wandering through a marine world in your submarine.

However, it looks like some captains have problems guiding their submarines as many players recently reported strange control issues in Diluvion. It motivated some community members to create a special thread on Steam, where they help each other go through complicated controls of this game.

Diluvion control bugs

Can’t control submarine direction

One of the reported issues preventing players from accurately controlling their submarines is where throttle automatically sets the submarine direction to follow the crosshair.

For submarine control, throttle is good for me. The problem is the way it automaticly make your submarine direction follow your crosshair, it is quite bad for combat since it would make your submarine goes directly to enemy submarine , making most of manuever still make your sub collide with enemies

Unable to increase speed

One player complained that he’s unable to increase speed by pressing the W key. This can be a major problem, especially in chases and battles, so developers should definitely pay attention to this report.

The problem is that by making it the W key I cannot increase speed (pretty sure I can decrease speed no problem) while maintaining heading.

Problems with aim/combat

Speaking of combat and battle problems, one user said that the mouse and keyboard lock the heading with the W-key:

Yeah the only problem with the mouse and keyboard controls is indeed the lock heading with the W-key. A seperate key to toggle keep heading and stop following the mouse direction I think might solve it for me.

Although developers didn’t provide a precise solution for any of these problems, they’ve actually promised a patch that will address the majority of reported issues.

That’s perfectly reasonable. We’ll keep you guys updated on new control schemes.

If you’ve encountered any control problems while playing Diluvion, don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments below. Or, report your problem directly in the Steam thread.
