The Internet is a wonderful place, full of interesting information. However, finding the right piece of information can sometimes prove to be a difficult task. As a result, when you find the information that you’re looking for, the best thing is to preserve it.

Of course, you can simply select the whole page and then copy it into a Word document, but you’ll lose the original layout. The best solution is to download the web page as PDF. In this article, we’re going to show exactly how to do this.

How to download a web page as PDF

1. Take a screenshot

The easiest way to download a web page is to simply take a screenshot. You can then paste it into Paint or other similar tools, crop it to look neat and then save it using the file format that you want.

2. Print as PDF

Depending on your browser of choice, you can use a built-in option that allows you to print a web page as PDF. For example, here are the steps to follow in Google Chrome: open the menu and select Print. You can also use the CTRL+P shortcut to print the web page as PDF.

A new window will appear, allowing you to select the exact pages that you want to print, as well as adjust various page settings, such as page color, orientation and more.

3. Use a browser extension

Another solution is to download and install a dedicated browser extension. The are plenty of extensions that allow you to save webpages as PDF, and each offer particular features. Save as PDF and Print Friendly & PDF are two of the best such extensions that you can download for Google Chrome.
