  • Edge browser on Chromium is now available on Xbox consoles.
  • The download is available on Xbox’s latest patch.
  • You will not require third party apps to use the browser.

Off late, consoles are slowly becoming more and more like PCs. They are now packed with multiple features with PC-like functions. This can be seen in Microsoft’s latest update for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Available on current and last-gen consoles

Whether you are using current or last-gen Xbox consoles, you will still be able to enjoy the Chromium-based edge browser. The browser underwent six months of testing and is now available to users. The Edge browser itself is an updated version so users will be enjoying new features on both the browser and their consoles.

You can do everything you do on the PC with the console. The mouse and keyboard support allow you to browse, check your social media platforms and port your favorites.

Simplicity and convenience

Xbox users can flourish in simplicity and convenience with the new update. With features like these, Microsoft is truly taking a lead. PS5 may have started off strong but it seems Xbox users are having the stronger finish. The browser has vertical tabs and a collections tab.

Users will have their information synced but a key component of adding extensions is yet to be availed on the Xbox.

Just a few days back, Xbox users received the news that their consoles could stream on PCs and now the web browser is available.

You can download the Xbox patch and enjoy the goodness that comes with the web browser.
