The official Facebook Windows 8.1 app is gathering good ratings
facebook windows 8.1 app top freeBefore Facebook had launched the official Windows 8.1 app, there were was a plethora of third-party apps, with many of them being malware or just poorly made apps. Now that Facebook has finally released it for Windows 8 users, many are uninstalling those rotten apps and switching to the best Facebook app there is in the Windows Store.

As a result, the app has become the top free Windows 8 and RT app in the Windows Store, being followed by others like Where’s my Water 2, Netflix, Six-Guns, Skype and Google Search. And it has a very good average rating of 4.1 from almost 5,000 votes; it also has almost 1,200 reviews.
It took the Facebook app just a little more than one week to obtain these results.

Recently, it even received its very first update after being released concomitantly with the Windows 8.1 launch. The Windows 8 Facebook app will work on desktop, tablet and hybrid device, of course.
