  1. Launch the Brave browser > select the Menu icon > go to Settings
  2. Click on the Security option > select  Clear Browsing Data
  3. Click on the Clear button
  4. A new window will pop up listing 8 options:
    • Browsing history
    • Download history
    • Cached images and files
    • Saved password
    • All site cookies
    • Autocomplete data
    • Autofill data
    • Saved site settings and permissions
  5. Select the items that you want to delete and then click Clear.

2. Run SFC scan

3. Re-install the Brave Browser folder

  1. Go to Start > type ‘add or remove’ and select the ‘Add/Remove Programs’ option to uninstall Brave
  2. Navigate to %userprofile%\AppData\Local > simply delete the Brave folder
  3. Now, go to %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming > delete the Brave folder
  4. Delete all the copies of the installers to make sure all the files and folders have been removed
  5. Delete the Brave shortcut from your desktop and taksbar
  6. Reboot your machine
  7. Download the Brave installer again and  re-install the browser.
