We have particularly loved the filter that makes use of artificial intelligence, able to offer remarkable three-dimensionality especially in images outside (although perhaps it should be slightly contained in the skies) and Sunrays.
Aurora HDR
Aurora HDR 2019 is the new version of Skylum’s photo post-production software, a brand that has become famous for products like Aurora HDR but also Luminar.
The apps can work alone, as we will see very well, but if necessary they integrate perfectly with the sacred monsters like Photoshop and Lightroom.
Aurora HDR 2019, we anticipate it, is a small name that does this and much, much more than we expected before this review, with a way that gives a new benchmark to the term “speed”.
Technically speaking Aurora HDR 2019 is software that allows obtaining different results: the development of frames in RAW, but also in Jpeg, Tiff, and Png, single or multiple, offering all the features that are typical of some famous plug-ins like Camera Raw, for example.
In the workflow is integrated a function of HDR (High dynamic range imaging) that allows expanding the dynamic range of light so that it is wider than normal.
The App is obviously compatible with the most common bitmap graphics formats but also with RAW, which is treated on a par with the rasterized files in the workflow, although obviously, the rendering engine is certainly different.
Aurora HDR 2019 allows you to save processed images in a proprietary format, which is useful for later retouching, and also contains the original files.
It is the only way for progressive retouching since Aurora does not write data inside the standard XMP in RAW files.
The final export can be carried out in the most common formats, including oddly sparse formats like PDF and Jpeg2000.
There is the possibility of using overtones, curves, HSL adjustments and even the vignetting are missing, even if there are no more accurate controls for direct selection within the image.
With regard to these extremely powerful controls, we underline that the impression is that they exist for the purpose of retouching on the initial image and not as an option to make Aurora HDR 2019 a graphics editor because in that it seems at least out of place.

Corel AfterShot Pro 3
