If you’re a big fan of FX, FXX, and FXM, then you’ll be happy to know that the FXNOW app is now available for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile via the Windows Store. With this app, you can watch critically acclaimed TV shows only available on the FX family of channels.

One interesting thing about the FXNOW app, is its Cortana integration. Should you wish, it is possible to launch the app with your voice, though we are not certain if users can use Cortana to search for their favorite shows.

The app also supports Live Tiles, and from what we have come to understand, they will show the featured show of the day. Furthermore, the app can adapt to your screen and scale when needed.

This is not the only streaming app to be found via the Windows Store. For dub anime lovers, the Funimation app is there, and for those who enjoy movies and TV shows, the Netflix experience is there. What’s interesting is the possibility of Netflix allowing its customers to download content for offline viewing in the future.

Here’s the full description of the app:

FXNOW is an on-demand video streaming service featuring critically acclaimed drama and comedy TV series, and blockbuster movies from three networks: FX, FXX, and FXM. Enjoy watching full episodes of your favorite TV shows like The Americans, Tyrant, Archer, and The Strain. The app also includes Simpsons World, a one-of-a-kind experience that offers every episode ever.

It should be noted that not everyone will be able to take advantage of FXNOW. To use it, you must be subscribed to the following satellite or cable providers:

  • AT&T U-verse
  • Time Warner Cable
  • DIRECTV
  • Bright House Networks
  • Comcast XFINITY
  • Charter
  • Cox
  • Midcontinent Communications
  • Optimum
  • Suddenlink
  • WOW!

As it stands right now, this is not for cord cutters since users will still need to have a satellite or cable provider account.

You can download the FXNOW app right now from the Windows Store.
