Get ready: Gears of War 4 Gearsmas 2017 arrives today
Gearsmas is bringing the festive holiday spirit to Gears of War 4 today, December 15. The Coalition revealed that this is going to be the most significant Gearsmas event in history. It is scheduled to run from December 15, 2017, to January 2, 2018.
It seems that these holidays will be quite unforgettable and we can’t wait to check out the event.
Gearsmas 2017 Jingle Juvies
The first ever Horde Madness variant is here, and it will be called Jingle Juvies.
Jingle Juvies will task you together with your squad to walk on a 25 wave horde of Juvies that are adorned with antlers. You will also have to fend off Juvies supported by Trackers outside of the boss waves. They will be Gears of Wars’ fierce reindeer. After you complete specific challenges, you will get weapon skins, and this is really cool as well.
You will also get a midnight omen weapon challenge. You will have to register and complete a few objectives in the Jingle Juvie playlist to earn the weapon skins:
- Midnight Omen Retro Lancer: Complete 25 consecutive waves of Jingle Juvies (fails allowed)
- Midnight Omen Lancer: Complete 25 successive waves of Jingle Juvies (no fails)
Snowball Fight is back
Snowball Fight, the Team Deathmatch variant, is back in 2017 with a special Holiday ‘Showshot’. A Snowshot is a Boomshot that fires snowballs. Unfortunately, Splash damage was removed altogether, and this means that you will have to be more precise in order to get the kill. You are also eligible for a few weapon skins if you complete some objectives in this event that will be given to you.
New characters, weapons skins, and emblem
- The characters are Gearsmas Sweater Imago, Gearsmas Sweater Dizzy, and Festive Tree DR1
- The weapon skins include Gearsmas (Animated), Gingerbread, and Knit.
- The emblem is the Gearsmas Sweater.
