The launch of the Xbox One X console has made a lot of gaming fans happy. Not only does it mean that they will get awesome looking games in the future, but also that some of the current generation titles will also get major aesthetic improvements.

The One X promises incredible feats such as true 4K gaming and unbelievable graphics.

However, it might take less time than you think before you get to experience the awesome power of the One X on a Gears of War title.

Gears of War 4 has completely taken advantage of the One X tech, and players can enjoy a major boost in terms of graphics and performance. Here’s what you can expect from the enhanced version of the game.

Gears of War 4 looks stunning on Xbox One X

True 4K

This is something that has been talked about for a long time now. The Xbox One S and the PlayStation 4 PRO offer pseudo-4K performance.

However, the One X has the necessary firepower to provide an actual 4K experience which will be noticeable even if you don’t have a 4K TV. Even on a 1080p screen, the console will render the game at a much higher resolution.

Choosing what to improve

One of the trademark aspects of playing on a console is that you don’t have any hardware related settings. What you see is what you get, and you only get to fiddle around with things like subtitles, lighting, and stuff like that.

That concept is being thrown out the window with the One X, which will let Gears of War 4 players choose between two modes in which they can enhance their gameplay.

They can choose to upgrade the quality of the image, or maintain the standard quality but run the game in 60 frames per second. That’s a very impressive feat for a console. And being able to choose what side of the gaming experience you want to improve on is really neat.

Enhanced everything

When you turn on Gears of War 4 on a One X, everything you see pretty much is an upgraded version of the original. The graphics have been enhanced to the smallest detail.

Players will be able to enjoy better quality sun shafts and shadows, but also character and world textures. The world of Sera is one of the most impressive ones to date thanks to the advanced tech of the One X.

You can really notice and admire what the developers have been able to do with the scenery thanks to the hardware upgrade.

Audio also gets a boost

Dolby Atmos is one of the most impressive, modern solutions for gaming sound. This kind of feature makes gaming a truly immersive and spectacular performance from a sound perspective, and the One X hardware makes it possible for gamers to experience this while playing Gears of War 4.

The game is no doubt a title that benefits tremendously from the latest console iteration, with every aspect of it being polished to perfection.

While there will be amazing looking games coming out after developers have had enough time to play around with the One X, gamers can get a first taste of Microsoft’s powerhouse firsthand, with Gears of War 4.
