Microsoft Scroogled mug

You’ve probably heard about Microsoft’s latest marketing work with their Scroogle campaign. Microsoft started selling memorabilia, such as mugs, shirts, hats, and hoodies, with some rather funny messages that were basically explaining the deep secrets that Google have been hiding from their users when they browse their email, search on Google, and use their Chrome browser.

What’s shocking is that Google hasn’t returned any attacks on Microsoft for their anti-Google comments, but rather, a comment.

Google has responded to Microsoft, stating, “Microsoft’s latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space really is heating up.”

What Google mean is that they will win the “wearables” war since they have Google Glass, compared to Microsoft’s wearables, which are only hats and shirts.

It’s nice to see competition between the two rivals, but in terms of their relationship, do you think Microsoft should be doing this? Many Windows Phone fans are desperately looking for a YouTube app and some people may view it as Microsoft’s fault because of their “evil marketing scheme.” What is your opinion on this?
