Hive smart thermostat app coming to Windows 10 soon
Are you a Hive thermostat user who is also a fan of the Windows 10 platform? If so, you’ll be happy to know that the company’s smart thermostat apps have popped up in the Windows Store.
This comes as a surprise because Hive is affiliated with British Gas, a company that previously made it clear it wasn’t interested in creating apps for the new Windows platform.
While there’s not much detail surrounding the app, there’s a description on the Windows Store so we at least know it should find its way there soon enough.

This is the full description:
Hive is a British Gas innovation that creates connected products designed to give people the control they want for their homes, anytime, anywhere.
With this new app, UK-based Windows 10 Mobile users will have additional options going forward. At the moment, only Tado supports the platform with a Windows Phone and a Universal Windows app. Because of how mature the Tado apps are, we suspect it will be the best option for now.
Nevertheless, we understand that Hive is more comprehensive when it comes to home automation since it offers door and windows sensors along with smart plugs and smart bulbs.
Time will tell if Hive takes off or if it even gets released in the first place. The app can be downloaded from the Windows Store when the download button is activated.
