Major Nelson gives more proof of Spotify on Xbox One in latest “This Week on Xbox” episode

Over the past week, a couple items have been spotted and found that are raising suspicions that Spotify is coming to Xbox One. It all started when some keen-eyed Xbox One users saw that Major Nelson (Larry Hryb) of Xbox, was using Spotify for Xbox.

Later, a screenshot from Microsoft’s ExpertZone portal was posted on Reddit, which is used to train retail staff, showing a page that provides promotional material for Spotify on Windows 10 and Xbox One:

Now, the latest episode (August 4th) of This Week on Xbox by Major Nelson, showed a clip of Spotify being used in the Xbox Guide, as background music:

While there’s still no official word from Microsoft, it does appear that a Spotify app for Xbox One exists, somewhere. It is possible that it is in testing, but until we receive official word, it’s hard to know if Spotify is truly coming to Xbox One – after it being exclusive to PS4 when it comes to gaming consoles.
