The COVID pandemy has taken its toll all over the world and as the school has to follow a lot of distancing rules, online teaching is still a strong, viable option.
As authorities are struggling to find ways of organizing the schools, they are also thinking of switching to online classes if the situation backfires.
That is probably why Microsoft is also working on implementing new features for OneNote and Teams that will help teachers hold the classes properly.
What are the new OneNote features and functions?
A new feature is applied in OneNote from Teams and will help teachers whether or not students will be able to create new sections in a Collaboration Space or in Content Library.
Another feature is the New File dialog menu from Assignments.
Basically, when the teachers create Assignments, or when students attach their work, the teachers will be able to create a new blank OneNote page using the New File dialog.
Microsoft will also enable a Teacher-only Section by default with each new Course Notebook in Teams for Education. That will work alongside the Collaboration Space, Content Library, and Student Notebooks.
To make things more transparent and to make it even more clear, soon, the teachers who use Page Distribution in OneNote will be able to send notifications to students in Teams when they distribute a new Class Notebook page.
According to Microsoft’s 365 Roadmap, this notification will be available for teachers who are using the Class Notebook Toolbar in OneNote for Windows 10, iPad, Web, and Mac.
Because not all of the educators are tech-savvy, Microsoft is also preparing a special Insights app in Microsoft Teams for Education that will help them track every progress of their students over time.
Most of these features are being implemented now with others still being in development.
