Microsoft's newest retail store opens up at the NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas

Earlier this morning was the grand opening of Microsoft’s newest retail store at the NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas. Microsoft saw a huge gathering of people who were interested in seeing what the Redmond giant had to offer. On top of that, Microsoft was giving away tickets to see a performance by country-singer Tim McGraw and The Band Perry.

The 5,323 square-foot retail store is located at the NorthPark Center between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Interestingly enough, this store is located very close to the Apple store. The grand opening ceremony took place Saturday, November 8th, at 9:30 AM, followed by a 1PM concert featuring Tim McGraw and The Band Perry.

The new retail store features the brand new HP Sprout, the Microsoft Band, and the company’s latest line of Windows Phone devices on display. There is also an area of the store where customers can play with the Xbox One and try out various demos, an area for training sessions and special events, as well as an answer desk for information.

A typical Microsoft Store offers an assortment of products, including Windows 8.1 desktops, tablets, laptops, Windows Phone devices, Xbox One, Office 365, and much more. Customers can also receive service, get recommendations, and receive help with PC setups. These services ensure that the customer walks out of a Microsoft Store ready to operate their new machine.

These new Microsoft Store openings are part of the company’s attempt to expand its existing retail footprint in the US as well as Canada. Microsoft wants to deliver a premium retail experience that is not only entertaining, but also offers consumers an excellent selection and service with their purchases.

There are now ten Microsoft Store locations in the state of Texas. If you live in the area, head over to the new Microsoft Store at the NorthPark Center and tell us your experiences in the comments below.
