Opera has introduced a new option called the Easy Setup Mode the 49th edition of the company’s titular web browser. This feature is meant to help users customize preferences and setup the browser quickly, making it a setup wizard that’s more intuitive and direct. Easy Setup mode is apparently still in development, which means that the feature will get better with the future builds.
Opera’s Easy Setup Mode
Easy Mode Setup seems more like an improvement over the “customize start page.” All said and done, Firefox is picking up the pace and trying to match other browsers in the market. The important thing to note is that Easy Setup Mode is not available in the regular build and is currently only available for Opera Developer, the beta development channel for the browser.
As we explained earlier, Easy Setup Mode replaces the “customize start page” and offers better control over the feature. Firefox users will be able to set a wallpaper, toggle the dark theme, setup speed dial and suggestions, and also toggle the search bar. All of this is expected to help users discover features on the Opera browser. One can activate Easy Setup Mode by opening a new Opera tab and clicking on the Settings Icon in the upper right corner of the browser.
New options include the ability to change download location, clear browsing data, import passports and bookmarks, and also to make the Opera default browser on the system. It seems like the Speed Dial configuration button is missing from the sidebar but it can still be found in Settings>Start Page, where you can now choose to display/hide the sidebar.

In all likelihood, Opera might auto run Easy Mode on startup. The new feature is indeed a good addition, and it would be interesting to see what form Opera will be bringing Easy Mode on its regular build.
