I was wandering around Microsoft forums, when I spotted one interesting issue that people are complaining about. Namely, a lot of Windows 10 users are unable to save webpages as PDF documents in Microsoft Edge, so I decided to explore this problem a little bit.

print pdf in edge windows 10

Before I saw this issue is present, I never tried to save a webpage from Microsoft Edge as a PDF, so I opened a random page, and tried to save it as a PDF, and it worked! The page was saved in a couple of seconds, and i normally opened it with Adobe Reader, which means that I don’t have this issue.

Another thing I noticed is that most forum threads about Microsoft Edge PDF printing problem were posted in late July or early August (around the release of Windows 10), so I though that it was indeed an issue before, but Microsoft probably released a fix. And just when I wanted to write a report about that, and tell you that you can save webpages as PDF in Edge normally now, I digged a little deeper, and I found out that the issue is still present, a couple of months after the release of Windows 10.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any solutions for this problem, as people from Microsoft remained silent about this issue, and other users are just reporting it. However, most people who have this problem, also say that saving webpage as PDF works in Internet Explorer 11. So, until we find any solution, or Microsoft releases a fix, the only thing I can advise you to do is to save your pages as PDF from Internet Explorer. If you’re not sure how to do that, follow these steps:

  1. Open a webpage you want to save as PDF with Microsoft Edge
  2. Click on the dotted menu, and choose Open with Internet Explorer
  3. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools (gear icon), and choose Print
  4. Choose Microsoft Print to PDF, under Select Printerprint in windows 10
  5. Click on Print
  6. Choose the location of your PDF document, and give it a name
  7. Wait a couple of seconds, and your PDF document will be saved

Do you have this issue with printing PDF in Microsoft Edge? Or you maybe have a solution for us? If you have a solution for this problem, please write it down in the comments, our readers who are facing this issue will surely appreciate it.
