You can now call up to 50 people on Skype group calls
Microsoft has rolled out its latest Skype version 126.96.36.199 with some amazing new features to engage large meetings. This new version can support calls with up to 50 participants, doubling the number of participants from 25 to 50.
However, the new version is currently available only for Insiders. After testing, the new features will be available for the general public.
Skype gets a new call notification system
A number of exciting new features have been added which include a notification system for the call. Before the meeting, a notification is sent to all the participants instead of ringing the bell to individual participants making it less annoying and irritating.
The new notification system has been introduced for both audio and video calls.
However, the previous option has not been removed and you can still ring individual participants. T
he latest version also includes another amazing feature: if you are busy at the time the call starts, then you can join the call later.
As Microsoft stated:
When you start a call in these large groups, it will send a notification instead of ringing all the members, to not interrupt those who can’t join. ”It further added, “With this update, you will also see that the audio and video buttons are now enabled in these larger groups.
This latest version of Skype is easily available now for Insiders who are using Windows and macOS computers .Insiders who are using Windows 10 OS versions can install the new Skype version from Microsoft Store.
