Speech recognition

Speech recognition is the process of identifying spoken words and phrases and converting them to a format that is readable by a computer. Speech recognition is used for call routing, speech-to-text processing, voice dialing, and voice search. Over the last few years, speech recognition has been used primarily for personal assistant software.

Speech recognition is now available to use on most PCs and smartphones, but there might be few limitations. This technology isn’t perfect, so there might be some difficulty capturing certain words due to pronunciation. Background noise can also be a problem, so if you’re using speech recognition in a noisy environment, you might encounter these issues.

Lastly, there’s an issue with a number of supported languages, and for the most part, the English langue is the only supported language, but that will surely change in the future.
