Windows 10 is out in the wild and many are upgrading to it by taking the free update option. However, if you want to buy a new device, then you need to take into account that the newest Surface and Surface Pro 3 get it preinstalled.

The newest Windows 10 is all awesome and great, but you can get it either by buying, upgrading for free or by acquiring a new device. And as it turns out, Microsoft has been swift to upgrade both the Surface Pro 3 and the Surface 3, so that when you buy a new one, you get Windows pre-installed.

We are all waiting for the big October event when Redmond is expected to come up with the new Surface device, as well as the newest Lumia smartphones and, why not, the Microsoft Band 2.

The Surface 3, Surface Pro 3 will now get Windows 10 by default

However, if you are interested in the current generation, you should know that you can get the Surface Pro 3 for a price of $800. Here are some of the main specs that you will be getting:

  • 12-inch Full HD touchscreen displa
  • Intel i3, i5, or i7 4th Gen availabl
  • Surface Pen included
  • Windows 10 Pro

If you opt for the Surface 3, here’s what you will get for a starting price of $500:

  • 10.8″ Full HD touchscreen display
  • Includes 1-year Office 365 Personal ($69.99 value)
  • Windows 10

It goes without saying that the upcoming Surface Pro 4 will also come with Windows 10 by default, but just in case you were wondering, it’s good to know that the current generation comes with the latest operating system, as well.
