Instant messaging apps are probably the most popular type of apps on smartphones. And Telegram is one of the more popular instant messaging apps for Windows 10 Mobile, but it may soon expand its range, as there’s a word that it will be re-released as a Universal App.

We don’t have absolutely no official info about the released of Telegram Universal app, but when a fan asked Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram does the company “have any plans to update the WP app into a great W10 universal app? It would be awesome having the same app on PC & phone,” Durov just replayed “Definitely.”

As we said, Telegram Messenger is one of the most popular instant messaging apps for Windows 10 Mobile, and it features some great options, like creating a group chats with up to 200 people, messages that can self-destruct after some times, an open API, cloud-based sync, and more.

The app is currently available on all major platforms, including Android, iOS, PC/Mac/Linux desktop app, Web, and yes, Windows Phone, but we’re still waiting for a Universal version of this instant messaging service that will be available to Windows 10 PC users through Windows Store.

Developing Universal apps for Windows 10 is definitely becoming a trend, and developers like to see their apps across all Windows 10 devices. Also, a lot of developers are also bringing back their apps to Windows 10 Store, after being present on Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1. With all this in mind, we can now freely say that Microsoft is on the great way to overcoming one of the major problems of its operating systems, the lack of apps in the store.

We hope that Pavel Durov will keep its promise, and that Telegram Universal Windows 10 app will arrive on all Windows 10 devices, he’s the boss, he knows the best, after all.
