Twitter for Xbox One recently received a new series of updates that will allow users to see their own timeline alongside videos or relevant comments/tweets.

Twitter for Xbox One gets updated

Twitter for Xbox One app becomes more functional, and you’ll be able to watch videos in fullscreen or with tweets displayed alongside content. On the previous version of the Twitter for Xbox One app, you could only view live content and top tweets, but this was not at all relevant to your own timeline or who you were following.

Twitter’s app for Xbox One allows you to watch the best of what’s happening including live stream sports, entertainment, and also news for free on your big screen optimized in full HD with curated Twitter commentaries. You don’t even need to have an account.

The updated version is version 1.8.0.6, and you’ll get access to some next-level features.

Twitter’s application for Xbox One is mainly about watching videos with this newest update, and it still lacks some features that you would find on the desktop and the mobile variants. But, fortunately, you can now watch two videos side by side, and you can access free videos or Periscope streams as well. The Periscope support includes a global map to find videos from other locations. You can click anywhere on the spinning globe to watch live videos from that area.

To see the tweets of those you are following, you have to log in while watching the live stream on Twitter for the Xbox.

The app’s download size is approximately 29.53 MB, and you can get it from Microsoft’s Store. You can get the app while you are signed in to your Microsoft account, and you can install it on up to 10 Windows 10 devices.
