If you’re looking to buy a Windows 10 phone but can’t decide on a particular model, we have a strong case to make in favor of Lumia 550’s case — especially since you can buy this phone from the Microsoft Store for only $99 and get a T-Mobile SIM activation kit for free.

The SIM kit offers a prepaid 3-in-1 SIM card with 40 minutes of airtime and Microsoft will add it to your shopping cart the moment you buy the Lumia 550. This phone sports a 4.7-inch HD display, a 5MP camera and a storage capacity of 8GB which can be expanded to 200GB wth a microSD. If you’re a selfie fan, the 2MP front-facing camera takes decent pictures under proper conditions.

The Lumia 550 is powered by a Quad-core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor and 1GB RAM. The 2100mAh battery is enough to get you through the day.

Microsoft initially launched the Lumia 550 with a $179 price tag, only to see that customers weren’t in hurry up to buy them. The tech giant dropped the price to only $99 at the beginning of June, but apparently that discount hasn’t convinced many more potential customers. As a result, Microsoft is now raising the stakes and offers a free SIM activation kit for those who purchase this phone, hoping to convince more people to choose its Lumia 550.

If Microsoft really wants to get rid of these phones from its stock, the company should bundle them with one of its top-selling products and offer the Lumia 550 for half the price, or even for free.

If you’re having second thoughts about purchasing this phone, maybe the user reviews can help you to make up your mind:

I bought this phone to use for my second line and I was going to continue to use my iPhone for my line. After trying this phone out I love it. I’m using it for my line and will probably swap this to the second line once the 650 is available from the Microsoft Store. I’m actually really surprised how much I like Windows Phone and I just want to add the voice to text is way better than the iPhone. It even puts commas and question marks in place when you use it. And it’s very very rare that it gets a word wrong.

You can buy the Lumia 550 from the Microsoft Store. Hurry up, as this offer is valid only on June 20.
