A while ago we featured some of the best Windows 8 GPS apps that you could download and install from the Windows Store. Now, the official ViaMichelin app gets launched for Windows 8 users and it’s definitely one of the best, if not the best, GPS app to have on your Windows 8 tablet and device.

For those who are true connoisseurs, ViaMichelin is a really good route planner tool, with years and years of experience behind. Now, the official ViaMichelin Windows 8 app has got launched in the Windows Store, so you can go ahead and download it (link at the bottom) in order to transform your Windows 8 tablet into a real route planner and a GPS navigator device. I have been playing with the app for a few minutes and I can say that it is really, really good. Everything moves really, really fast and you can definitely rely on using it on your Windows 8 tablet, as long as you have a good data plan. The app has slightly more than 10 megabytes but it comes with so many features, that it transforms your Windows 8 device into a real car navigator.
