Windows Insiders were able to enjoy a bunch of leaks during the last few weeks. These included the new Cortana and hints of Windows Timeline features.
Now, Microsoft made it official and revealed that the next Windows 10 Insider builds would include both Windows Timeline and also a new feature that will be called Sets.
Windows Timeline is coming to the next Windows 10 Fast Ring Build
Terry Meyerson from Microsoft wrote an email in which he detailed the long-awaited Windows Timeline that is on its way to us via the upcoming Windows Insider Fast Ring Build.
Meyerson posted that the company showed off Timeline earlier this year and the new feature will allow users to jump back in time to make it easier to find the files that they are looking for.
There will be a visual timeline integrated straight into Task View and this way you will easily be able to move back into files, apps, and sites as well.
Microsoft stated that it is aware of the intense interest shown by the users in this new feature, and for this reason, we’ll be able to test it in the next Windows 10 build that will be going out to the Fast Ring.
Sets is a new feature for Windows 10
Meyerson also discussed Sets, the new feature that will be included in Windows 10. It will be similar to the UWP tabbed experience that leaked just recently. This feature will be an easier way to organize everything and get back to what you were doing before. The new feature doesn’t have a specific name yet, but according to Dona Sakar, it will be tested via controlled studies with Windows Insiders.
Both these new features will definitely bring some pretty sweet new experiences to Windows 10 for Windows Insiders. The rest of Windows 10 users will probably be able to check out these new features sometime during the Spring of 2018.
