Windows 10 May update rapidly increases its usage share
AdDuplex has published its monthly report for August 2019, and it finally brings some good news for the latest Windows 10 v1903.
Windows 10 May update finally hits a market share spike
Plagued by many bugs, Microsoft’s Windows 10 May update wasn’t the big hit that the company expected.
Now, slowly but surely, v1903 is becoming more and more popular between the various Windows 10 versions.
As you can see, the Windows 10 v1903 is used on 33% of Windows PCs. It tripled the usage share since last month and is continuing to gain more market share.
The reason may be the end of support in November for Windows 10 v1803, which is still on top with a 33.1% usage share, for now.
Windows 10 v1809 sits closely behind with 28.7%, while Windows 10 v1709 and older versions are in the 2 to 3% usage share.
Keep in mind that the report is based on data collected from around 5,000 Microsoft Store apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2 and higher.
This means that the actual numbers could be a little different.
