Windows 10 May Update install still stuck for many users
Many users complained on Reddit that Windows 10 v1903 update often gets stuck.
One user says that is getting the What Needs Your Attention message. Here is how the OP described this specific problem:

A general solution can be found on this Microsoft forum thread:
If you get stuck on “checking for updates,” you cantry stopping windows update and renaming/deleting the Software Distribution folder. I also ran diskcleanup and deleted 12 GB(?!) of old update files, which sped it up.
So, if your Windows 10 update gets stuck, the reason might be as simple as not having enough space on your hard drive. Therefore, free up some disk space and then try again to install the update.
