Windows 8, 10 App Live Tile for Facebook Brings Enhanced Tile Control
The official Facebook app for Windows 8 users has live tile support, but for some it is not working. There’s an app that that brings more options to the Facebook Windows 8 app live tile and also solves various problems
Ever since installing the official Facebook app on my Windows 8 tablet, I never managed to fix the Live Tile, as it didn’t display any information at all. And this is quite annoying, since Windows 8.1 brings the function of a big Live Tile that should presumably allow developers to include live feeds of their apps. And I’ve seen in the forums that other users have been reporting similar problems.
The live tile for the Facebook app in Windows 8.1 isn’t showing any information at all. How can I make it show info ? I’m running Facebook v188.8.131.52_x64 on Windows 8.1 Pro x64 (full General Availability release). I’ve tried: * Making sure that ‘turn live tile on’ is enabled on the Start Screen Facebook tile. * Making sure that the live tile is set to large or medium. * Uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook app. * Restarting my computer.
More live tile control for your Windows 8 Facebook app
This is what one frustrated Facebook user is saying. However, it seems that the Facebook app live tile on Windows 8 gets updated on friend replies, wall posts and other important changes. But the LIVE TILE Windows 8 for Facebook brings more control. Here’s how its description goes:
Show latest Facebook feeds (picture) on the live tile of the app, update every 15 minutes. LIVE TILE for Facebook is a great medium to continuously stay updated with the latest posts made by your Facebook friends. It removes the slow and time consuming process of signing into the Facebook Account in the web browsers. First pin the app to the Start Screen. Make sure to check the “Keep me logged in” check box on the popup Facebook login dialog. Press “BUILD LIVE TILE” button, allow the background task, and wait a few time, then check the app wide tile on the start screen.
So, by using the app you get to display the latest Facebook feeds on the Start Screen of Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. Use the link from below to download the app if you want more control with the Windows 8 live tile option.
