Voxofon, like many other similar apps and IM clients, comes with free app-to-app messaging, but what sets it apart from the rest is that it provides cheap SMS texting and international calls and it is also cross-platform. The latest version of the app comes with improved contact editing, so if you were having issues with this, they should now be taken care of.
You can setup cheap international calls directly from the Voxofon app and your destination abroad at cheap rates. Almost in all case, it will be even cheaper than what Skype currently offers. However, you need to be careful, because if you are traveling, then mobile operator roaming charges will apply. The app is free to download and comes with a size of less than one megabyte
