Microsoft has firstly released Windows Phone App Studio, a web application for Windows Store and Windows Phone Store development, which, in the meantime was renamed Windows App Studio and yesterday, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington has announced that Windows App Studio Installer can be downloaded to Windows 10 devices.

With Windows App Studio Installer, users can install applications created by them with the App Studio and since this is a Universal Windows app, it works with both computers and mobile devices.

Yesterday, Microsoft has announced on its official blog the release of the Windows App Studio Installer, an application which can be used to easily install Windows App Studio applications, by automatically configuring the device running on Windows 10.

The Windows App Studio team was aware that “the sideloading and installation process has been a bit complex by comparison, since it required running PowerShell scripts and deploying a certificate in a somewhat manual way” and after receiving many complaints from users, the developers solved this problem.

The application has around 4MB in size and in order to install it on your device, users must upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 10 Mobile. Windows App Studio is for newbies who just learned computer programming and want to create software applications for Microsoft’s operating system.

Windows App Studio’s features include support for TouchDevelop, which allows users to develop universal applications, Logo and Image Wizard, the possibility to collect content from YouTube, Flickr and Facebook, as well as customizable theme templates.

Since May 27th, 2015, App Studio added support for Windows 10 applications and it received new features such as Bing Maps, Xbox Music Data Sourcing, live tile updatability and analytics for applications. Then, in March 2016 was brought the App Studio Installer for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile devices and developers can use it to generate and scan QR codes which will be associated with the download link of their applications.
