Windows will rule the email application market by 2025
A study performed by Persistence Market Research showed that the email app market will explode between now and 2025 and North America will enjoy a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5%.
Windows remains the dominating OS
The global market will grow from the US $4,540 million in 2017 to $6,842.4 in 2025, and this reflects a percentage of 4.6% during the period.
Microsoft’s Windows will still be the dominant OS, and it will increase in revenue from $677.3 million this year to $1076.9 by the end of 2025. The report predicts that it will post a CAGR of 6%.
On the other hand, Linux and Unix enterprise systems have adopted Microsoft’s Windows OS seamlessly. Other OSs have just a little share of the global market.
In North America, Windows is predicted to grow from $1,400 million by the end of 2015 at a CAGR of 5%. Windows will also be the leader in the markets from Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
The US to be the most robust email applications market with growths year after year ,while Europe and Asia-Pacific will grow by 1.3% with a CAGR of 3.8%.
The Cloud and AI cause the growth
The growth is the result of the use of cloud-based email apps fueled by AI. The market will be fueled by a growing preference for on-demand services with automated provisioning infrastructure and the rising adoption of SaaS-based solutions.
The market will also see a high demand for more security solutions and migration to cloud-based services in the banking and financial sector.
In case there will be a compromise of business email on Windows and more OSs, this will pose severe threats to the market. More than this, fraudulent individuals who have access to cloud-based email apps may pose serious security concerns.
