Microsoft today announced the release of the final version of Windows Intune, providing PC management and security in the cloud. The final release comes after a year of public beta testing of the product. Microsoft are touting the many cost benefits of Intune with a Microsoft commissioned study by IDC revealing $702 savings per PC per year, with $521 related to IT labor reduction, $63 for user productivity savings, and $118 for cost recovery by using the unified tool.

Finally, Microsoft released the beta of Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM) which is part of the next version of their Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP). MBAM extends BitLocker in Windows 7 Enterprise by providing simplified deployment, improved compliance and reporting, and reduced costs by streamlining the key recovery process.
