The next big tech event is Mobile World Congress, which takes place from 22 to 25th February, and we’re going to be there to cover all the most important Windows-related news.

Now Microsoft has sent out invites to the media for an event palced in San Francisco on Feb 25th. This coincides with the end of MWC, so it could mean that Remond isn’t planning anything big for the event in Barcelona and it’s going to leave the announcement for its partners.

Microsoft plans a gaming event at the end of February

The event is going to be focused on Windows 10 and Xbox, and Xbox chief Phil Spencer is going to be present at the event, as well. According to the invite, the event will showcase “the best games and platform experiences launching this spring on Xbox and Windows 10.”

We should expect Microsoft to announce new games, updates to the Groove service, more integration between Xbox and Windows 10, and who knows, maybe some sort of media Xbox console to counterattack the growth of Apple TV.

The press event will take place about three weeks before the 2016 Game Developers Conference, so chances are that it’s going to be focused on gaming, as well. Among the awaited games, we could see Quantum Break, the Windows 10 versions of Killer Instinct and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
