Microsoft rolled out Your Phone App with the release of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update. The Redmond giant slowly added new features and functionalities to the app since then. The company added quick access to your text messages, notifications, and photos directly from your desktop.

Your Phone App recently reached a new milestone, as it became the top free app on Google Play Store. Interestingly, Microsoft is already working on bringing phone call support from your Windows 10 system.

However, Windows 10 users always wanted Microsoft to improve the messaging functionality within the application. The company has now decided to address this popular demand. We are pleased to announce that Your Phone companion app now has a dedicated reply box for third-party messaging apps.

Here’s how the redesigned Notifications Page looks like:

As a quick reminder, the feature was previously available only in the Action Center. The change now allows you to respond to your messages directly from the Notifications section within the application.

It seems like the feature is still in the early development phase. It is pretty much possible that it may not work as expected. At the time of writing this article, the built-in reply box for messaging apps is available to a limited set of users. You may need to wait for a couple of weeks until it becomes available to everyone.
