The much-anticipated sequel to the original Watch Dogs finally came out in late 2016 and blew people away, with sheer improvement in every category that made the game a noteworthy topic in any video game conversation. Those who haven’t been able to experience it yet, prepare yourselves for a late holiday season present: Ubisoft is letting you play Watch Dogs 2 for free.

Ubisoft is making the game available to play as a free title on the 24th of January. Although players have just 3 hours at their disposal to check out all the features, the game will be available in its full version.

The entirety of the experience will be made available and players can choose if they want to focus on the story, on side missions, or on any other element of the game that they find intriguing.

Here are some of the things you can do on January 24:

  • Rule the city through its infrastructure as you hack your way across San Francisco and its network of devices;
  • Play the game in multiplayer or even co-op mode, enhancing the experience by adding your friends into the mix;
  • Explore and upgrade the limitless tools a hacker has at their disposal, utilizing every asset according to your own playstyle;
  • Get to know the city you’ll be hacking into and interact with a vibrant living world inside the game.

In the game, you take the role of Marcus Holloway, a talented hacker recruited by a notorious band of likeminded individuals. With their aid, you must put your hacking skills at work to free the city from the tyrannical grasp of tech criminals that use a malicious operating system to keep everyone under their heel.

The game has been out for a while now and most people interested in the series had a chance to give it a try. However, there are some that still await the moment when they can finally join the rest of the community and explore the game. The 24th is the perfect opportunity for them to do just that.
