How can I add album art to MP3?

Before diving into the solutions, we recommend having the album cover images handy for all the music albums. If you need help finding the album cover, you can go to eitherย Discogs or MusicBrainz to find album art for your music.

1. Use the Groove Music built-in app

  1. Press the Windows key and type Groove Music, and press Enter.
  2. Click the Music Library and then click Albums.Albums
  3. Select the album and open it.
  4. Select Edit Info.Edit Info

  6. Browse your computer and choose the image.ย 
  7. Click Save.

2. Use VLC Player

  1. Download the VLC media player.
  2. Go to the MP3 file and right-click on it.VLC media player
  3. Now choose Open With and select VLC media player.
  4. On the VLC, go to Tools, then Media InformationVLC media player 1
  5. If there is a cover, it will be visible there. 
  6. Choose Add Cover Art from the file or download the cover file. If you have cover art, then go with the former.VLC3

3. Use MP3tag

3.1 No album cover

  1. Download and install MP3tag.
  2. Launch MP3tag, click on the File menu, and then Add directory.ย 
  3. Now click Select Folder, and choose the songs.ย 
  4. Click Tag Sources, then Cover Art.MP3 Album art
  5. Click MusicBrainz or Discogs.
  6. Choose the album name and click Next.mp3 3
  7. You will get results, click on Preview and select it if suitable.Add cover
  8. Click OK.ย 

3.2 With an album coverย 

  1. Click Tag Sources, locate and right-click on Cover Art.
  2. Select Add coverAdd cover
  3. Choose the desired image and click Open

4. Using an online tool

  1. Visit the itunemachine website.
  2. Drag & drop the music file.
  3. When uploaded, click on Change/ Add cover and choose the image you want as the cover.IITUNE 2
  4. Now on the next page, click Download MP3 with cover.
