The product Manager on the PowerPoint team, Ekta Dwivedy shared that starting today Microsoft 365 Insiders can split and merge cells in tables in PowerPoint on iPad.
The addition of this feature on PowerPoint for iPad is good for the customization and organization of tables within presentations, which ensures a neat look and enhanced readability.
To use this feature, Microsoft 365 Insiders should be on Beta Channel version 2.82. This feature can reduce the cognitive load related to the complex table structures, and let you focus on delivering powerful presentations.
On a PowerPoint slide that has a table, choose one or more cells, then tap Table, then Merge, and select Merge Cells.
To revert the configuration, select the cell, tap Table, then Merge and select Split Cells. This frees you from manual reorganization and customization, thus saving you time.
With the focus on productivity and ease of use, Microsoft has once again proved its commitment to refinement and providing a better user experience while using its products.
